This past week I went out to the San Diego Safari Park. Crossed one item off my list, and it was spectacular. I only wish I had more energy or at least another day to see it again. It on my list of places to re-visit. The animals were so close at times (check out the lion photos) that it was hard to believe I couldn’t reach out and touch them. They do offer an option to stay overnight in the park which is added as well to my list of things to do along with the cheetah interaction where you can see the cheetah up close after it’s run.
Some of the animals were sleeping, but there were plenty that were not. The tiger area was under construction, so I only got a brief glimpse of them and sadly, no good pictures.
Other than some basic nature pictures, this is the first time I’ve really seen what my camera can do. I still have so much to learn, but these pictures are amazing. I re-visited the lions as they were moving around a bit more than some of the other animals, and I’m glad I did. The lionesses hadn’t moved much, but the lion sprawled out feet up in the grass.
If you haven’t been, I highly recommend taking a trip to see it. I’ve heard good things about the San Diego Zoo as well. Perhaps on my next trip.
And that’s one more item off my 35 by 35.
