Review:
Nick Season. He’s the man on everyone’s mind and yet the only person he is concerned with is Corey Logan. An ex-con recently released from prison whose only wish is to get her son back and live out the rest of their lives. Yet Nick can’t let Corey go because she knows too much, but just how much he doesn’t know. She’s a threat that must be dealt with and with the help of his C4 loving friend Lester, he’ll make sure she is out of the picture in any way possible.
Corey manages to survive prison, and is desperate to get through her sessions with Dr. Abe Stein so she can get her son back and move on. Yet, she still can’t get rid of Nick Season. With threats piling up against her and her son, Corey has no option but to flee on her boat.
Dr. Abe Stein, a somewhat absent minded psychiatrist, doesn’t believe Corey’s claims that she was set up at first, but then he starts to notice things. His mother gets involved with Nick Season, a smooth, handsome politician who has secrets of his own and it’s up to Abe to put a stop to it before things get out of control.
An edge of your seat thriller, this book has no lack of action, heart, and depth. The characters are well-developed and I look forward to the next in the series. I didn’t realize this was a trilogy when I started the book, but I’m glad it is as I can’t wait to see what happens to Corey next. Weissbourd’s setting in the Pacific Northwest is a perfect backdrop to this story, and his ability to describe the places and events makes you feel as though you’re sitting there right along with the characters.
Thanks, Amanda, for reading INSIDE PASSAGE and writing such an interesting review.
If you’d like, I’ll send you the next book.
Best,
Burt
